Ponniyin Selvan: Trisha said that Mani Ratnam sir didn’t want us to get along when they worked together.

Ponniyin Selvan, Mani Ratnam’s fantasy production, opens September 30. The historical drama, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel, has high expectations. Ponniyin Selvan will be released in two parts and stars several famous Indian actors. Trisha Krishnan plays Ilaya Piratti Kundavai Devi, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays Nandini.

Trisha and Aishwarya Rai portray rivals in the movie. Ponniyin Selvan fans appreciated Nandini and Kundavai’s face-off. In actual life, the film’s leading females had a totally different relationship. Trisha told NDTV that Mani Ratnam didn’t want her and Aishwarya to get along. Unlike their personas, the actresses got along nicely.

“I met her on Day 1 of my shoot, and she’s lovely inside and out. In this film, we’re not supposed to like each other very much. The set went smoothly. Mani Ratnam, sir, would sometimes tell us to stop talking. Trisha said she couldn’t have camaraderie with Aishwarya Rai for her role.

I’m sure everyone who’s worked with her would agree. She’s kind and one of my hardest-working coworkers. She properly spoke Sen-Thamizh. We got ready around 2 AM. Ponniyin Selvan, actress: “I’m honoured to share the screen with her.”
