Folk singer Allan Faqir 22nd anniversary of death

LAHORE- On Monday, the 22nd anniversary of the death of legendary folk singer Allan Faqir is being remembered.

Allan Faqir was born in 1932 in the Jamshoro District village of Aamari, Sindh.

A famous Sindhi Sufi poet named Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai was the main source of inspiration for most of his works.

His distinctive singing earned him the President’s Pride of Performance Award in 1980.

On this date in 2000, Allan Faqir passed away and was buried near Sindh University Jamshoro.
