Queen Elizabeth II, who was Britain’s longest-reigning monarch and its symbol for seven decades, died peacefully at Balmoral. The Queen, who is 96 years old, kept strong ties with Pakistan. She went there twice between 1961 and 1997.

Now that the Queen has died, Prince Charles is the new King of England. Prince William is expected to take over from the current Prince of Wales as the monarch’s direct heir.
During her 70-year reign, the late Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, went to Pakistan twice, in 1961 and 1997. She made stops in Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore, and other cities across the country.
