Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has responded to Pathaan’s Besharam Rang.

Earlier this week, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, talked about the controversy surrounding Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s song “Besharam Rang.” The song from their film Pathaan was opposed by many people because they felt it offended their religious sensibilities. In response, the CM argued that when making a movie, a director should consider any scenes that might spark controversy.

After the release of the song “Besharam Rang,” Pathaan was the subject of a debate. Many people criticised it because it depicted Shah Rukh and Deepika having a romance in Spain, as well as Deepika’s clothing, which included her saffron bikini. This led to large protests around the country and a wave of social media backlash.

CM Yogi responded to questions about the controversy by saying, “The film director should also take into consideration that it should not have scenes that could give rise to controversy or hurt public sentiments.” “Any artist, writer, or person with achievements deserves respect.” Additionally, Uttar Pradesh has a film strategy, and numerous films are produced there,” he stated.

Ram Kadam and Narottam Mishra were two BJP leaders who opposed Pathaan’s release. Right-wing organisations were also seen advising people not to watch the movie in public spaces. PM Narendra Modi later issued a warning to party members to stop making “unnecessary comments” regarding films.

Numerous morning showings of the movie were even cancelled in Indore theatres on the day of the film’s premiere as a result of protests by local political organizations. But despite all the opposition, Pathaan was a great box office success. It has earned 429.9 crore at the domestic box office since its release on January 25. The film’s producers, Yash Raj Films, claim that it has earned $832.20 crore worldwide to date.

“When it comes to hurting people’s feelings, Sabka maksad ek hi hota hai,” Shah Rukh previously stated during a press conference.Even when I’m portraying a villain like Darr, we should spread joy, fraternity, love, and kindness. Even if John misbehaves in a movie or if I’m playing a Baazigar No one of us is evil. To make you happy, we are all acting out different roles. None of the things we say in the movie are designed to offend anyone or harm their feelings. It is merely for entertainment.

Additionally, he added, “We laugh together and love one another.” We enjoy being around each other. Fun and entertainment are best left alone. Don’t treat it more gravely. All of us are one. Simply put, this is Deepika Padukone. Yeh Amar hain. We are all in love with one another and working to share that love. Main Akbar, main Shah Rukh Khan, main Anthony! John! And this is what creates a movie.
