The two Bollywood films that Saba Qamar rejected both had strong critical acclaim.

Saba Qamar is a household name in Pakistan thanks to her work in both film and television.
She’s the only Pakistani actress to ever receive a nomination for Filmfare’s Best Actress.

Success with her recent hits, Kamli and Ghabrana Nahi Hai, has propelled the Cheekh actress to the forefront of the entertainment industry.

Saba said in a recent interview that early in her career she declined roles in Love Aaj Kal and Delhi 6 for Bollywood.

The actress from Baaghi said that she turned down a supporting role in Love Aaj Kal because she was afraid that the film’s female lead, Deepika Padukone, would steal the spotlight from her.
Qamar thought it was a stupid move on her part to refuse, therefore he characterised it as such.

Saba’s mother, at the time, banned her from acting in Indian films like Delhi 6. Bollywood producers and directors kept trying to get the diva from Pani Jaisa Pyar to work with them, but she had the courage to turn down their offers and go after her own career.

The star of Hindi Medium has said that she refuses to work with anyone but the Khans and the Kapoors because of her status as a top actress in Pakistan. She would never give in when it came to the people she worked with or the quality of the final product.

Saba debuted with the 2017 film Hindi Medium, in which she co-starred with Irrfan Khan.
She now co-stars with Ahsan Khan and Mikaal Zulfiqar in the continuing drama series Fraud.
