Shraddha Arya is celebrating the 16th anniversary of her film Nishabd.
Nishabd, a 2007 Hindi film featuring Shraddha Arya, has been playing in theatres for the past 16 years (March 2). In the film, Shraddha portrayed Ritu, the daughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Revathi. Jia, Ritu’s friend, was played by the late actor Jiah Khan.
The Kundali Bhagya actress made a film and wrote a lovely message thanking everyone for their support. She also thanked Big B for motivating and supporting her throughout the film. “In this brief lifetime, I got the chance and opportunity to work next to the legendary Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as his daughter in the movie Nishabd. He did not just portray the part of my father but inspired and supported me like one too,” she wrote. I never, ever grumble about anything in my existence. I’ve been extremely fortunate. I will be forever grateful to Ram Gopal Verma for casting me in the part, as well as Revathi ma’am and Jiya for their kindness and consideration.
A 60-year-old man falling in love with an 18-year-old girl was a divisive plot point in the film at the time, eliciting a wide variety of responses.
Nishabd was Shradd’s first Hindi film. After competing in the reality TV show Cinestar Ki Khoj in 2004, she made her acting debut in the 2006 Tamil feature Kalvanin Kadhali.
Shraddha is now partnered with Shakti Arora in Kundali Bhagya. The curriculum is about to move forward, creating space for more actors.
