Pratima Pandey’s Diksha Khanna and Pramaa at FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week 2022

@diksha.khanna made a collection called “Julley,” which means “Hello” in Ladakhi. It was inspired by the barren landscape of Ladakh. The trans-seasonal and fluid line includes traditional costumes that are reimagined in clever shapes and with clever detailing, making the ensembles mostly androgynous. She goes back to the basics to learn about eco-printing, which is a way to use natural dyes on textiles to get the natural beauty of plants and foliage out of them.
Pramaa by Pratimapandey’s new collection is based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s character “Paro” from his classic novel Devdas (1917). It’s a way to change Paro’s look and show her fiery side. It looks like the 1920s layering styles are being explored in handwoven silk Chanderi and Maheshwari with delicate floral and animal embroidery.
