“Pakistani Hit Show ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ Set to Broadcast in India This August”
The captivating Pakistani drama ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ is all set to light up Indian television screens, come this August. This much-anticipated spectacle is lined up to be showcased on ‘Zee Zindagi,’ a channel already synonymous with top-notch Pakistani drama series like ‘Qissa Meherbano Ka’ and ‘Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay.’
Gushing with excitement, the channel’s Instagram post teased viewers with a little taste of what’s to come, stating, “Money can’t buy happiness, or can it? Here’s a sneak peek of your next favourite show! #MerePaasTumHo, landing soon on your TV sets!”
Penned by the talented Khalil-ul-Rehman Qamar, the plot weaves around Danish (brought to life by Humayun), a modest man relishing a humble life with his small family in a cozy apartment. But his wife, Mehwish (the character Ayeza Khan slips into with grace), is a woman with big dreams and a craving for a luxurious lifestyle. As fate would have it, the couple crosses paths with the suave Shehwar (played by Adnan Siddiqui), who sweeps Mehwish off her feet, leading her to abandon her old life and leap into a new one with him.
Sharing a laugh on Junaid Akram’s podcast, Siddiqui quipped that he should’ve demanded a heftier paycheck for his part in this smashing hit. He exclaimed, “Had I known it’d turn out to be this gigantic, I’d have asked for a much bigger piece of the pie. It was a first when Humayun picked me for a role he had on his mind, and boy was he spot on! It was quite a gesture from him. He mentioned that folks had me in mind for this role for about half a dozen years. Imagine that!”
