Firdous Ashiq Awan Teases Possible Insights into Sania-Shoaib’s Future

The accomplished athletes and cross-border lovers who once set a precedent for unions between India and Pakistan might have chosen different paths for their futures. Amidst a whirlwind of online rumors and speculations regarding their potential separation, uncertainty continues to surround the status of the relationship between Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik.

As both individuals have refrained from making any official statements, a possible clue about the couple’s uncertain future may have emerged from the remarks of Pakistani political leader Firdous Ashiq Awan.

In a recent appearance on Tabish Hashmi’s show, “Hasna Mana Hai,” the 53-year-old former Federal Minister for National Regulations and Services revealed that she attended the opulent wedding of the Indian-Pakistani athletes. Awan candidly admitted that she had a gut feeling indicating that the marriage might not endure.

Firdous Ashiq Awan proceeded to elaborate that despite Malik and Mirza’s decision to remain neutral in terms of residency, neither in India nor Pakistan, their life in Dubai, where they currently reside with their son Izhaan Mirza Malik, may not have contributed to the reinforcement of their marital bond.

During the couple’s reception in Sialkot, where Firdous Ashiq Awan was in attendance as a guest, she presented Mirza with a gold crown. Nevertheless, her intuition conveyed a different sentiment. In 2010, Malik and Mirza entered into matrimony with a grand ceremony spanning both India and Pakistan. Their son was born in 2018.
