Deepika Padukone hopes to have a therapist on set in the coming years.

Deepika Padukone has disclosed her intention to hire a therapist on film sets in the coming years.

In an interview with Vogue, the RamLeela actress, who is a strong advocate for mental health, said that when filming Chhapaak, she would call on a therapist for herself on set.

“There were days when I had panic attacks or felt claustrophobic.” “It wasn’t easy bearing the passion that came from playing Malti for so many months,” the Bollywood diva confessed.

She went on to say that having a therapist by her side during the procedure “was vital” to her.

The Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani actress also said that she went through a similar procedure for her most recent film, Gehraiyaan.

Meanwhile, Padukone stated that whenever she becomes a producer, she plans to make this “treatment available to the entire team.”

“I personally aspire to have a therapist present on film sets in the coming years.” “We have a doctor on set, so I don’t see why we can’t also have a mental health specialist,” she said to the outlet.

In addition, the Padmavat actress discussed how mental health is portrayed in Indian films.
