16 years have passed since Asad Amanat Ali Khan left his fans

It has been 16 years since Asad Amanat Ali Khan, the soul of classical music and the owner of the melodious voice, left his fans.

Asad Amanat Ali Khan, the uncrowned king of Patiala family, was born on September 25, 1955 in Lahore.

Asad Amanat Ali Khan started his singing career at the age of 10 and hailed from a family of classical music, his ghazals and classical ragas gained worldwide fame.

Asad Amanat Ali Khan gained first recognition and popularity after singing his father’s song ghazal “Insha Ji Utho Ab Koch Karo”, but his real fame was given by “Umran Langhiyan Pabaan Bhaar”.

Asad Amanat Ali Khan was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Excellence in recognition of his artistic services, however, soon after receiving the award, he fell ill and went to London for treatment.

On April 8, 2007, at the age of 52, he suffered a fatal heart attack.
