The debut weekend of RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, grossed 19.25 crores.

With a terrific opening day on the Hindi circuit, S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum epic RRR got the cash registers ringing. While the film performed badly at the box office, day-of ticket sales were strong and fast climbing.

Despite having fewer advance ticket sales and fewer screens than 83, it outperformed it in almost every category. Due to the fact that RRR’s Telugu and regional dubs are now playing in their respective states, the Hindi version has little to no chance of success.

On its first day, the Hindi adaptation of RRR grossed an astounding Rs. 19.25 crore net. The figure is astounding for a film with no real star power, considering Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s relative obscurity in the north.

For northern viewers, the film’s biggest selling point was S.S. Rajamouli, whose Baahubali 2 remains the highest-grossing Hindi film.

The Hindi version of the film must make at least Rs. 180 crore to be considered a clean hit, and Monday’s box office figures will indicate if it achieves that goal.

With a first-day recovery rate of above 30%, the film shattered all day one records in Telugu states. The film will almost certainly break even if it recoups 65 percent of its budget in its first weekend.
