Shweta Basu Prasad meets Sharmila Tagore in Manhattan, shares photos on Instagram
Actress Shweta Basu Prasad recently shared photos from her meeting with the legendary performer Sharmila Tagore in Manhattan, New York. Shweta posted pictures with Sharmila on Instagram on Wednesday, with both of them smiling and posing for the camera. Sharmila wore a maroon chiffon saree and matching blouse while Shweta was seen in a maroon velvet gown.
In her Instagram post, Shweta wrote, “With Devi, in Mahanagar (heart eyes emoji). Sharmila Ji and I during PR activities for @nyindianfilmfest for our respective films Gulmohar and Retake. Shweta geo-tagged her location as Manhattan, New York.
Shweta also shared a candid picture with Sharmila on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “I had to tell her so much. Talk about Tagore, Ray, and winged eyeliners. All she said was, ‘We are both wearing the same colour’. Me: ‘Yes we are twinning. Also, I love you.'”
Shweta is the writer and director of the short film Retake, which features Anupam Kher, Zarina Wahab, and Danish Husain. The film will have its world premiere at the New York Indian Film Festival, according to Applause Entertainment’s recent announcement on Instagram. Sharmila Tagore made a comeback with the film Gulmohar, directed by Rahul Chittella and co-starring Manoj Bajpayee, Simran, and Suraj Sharma.
