Sharmila Tagore told her kids that she wasn’t ignoring them.

Sharmila Tagore says that when she was younger, she did small things to show her children that her work was important to her and that she wasn’t leaving them when she went to work. Sharmila has three children: Saif Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khan, and Saba Ali Khan. Saif, Soha, and Saba are all actors. Saba makes jewellery.

Sharmila was one of the most famous heroines when she married cricketer and Nawab of Pataudi Mansur Ali Khan in 1968.She had worked on the movies Kashmir Ki Kali, Waqt, and Anupama before. She kept working after the wedding. Some of her best-known movies, like Aradhna, were made while she was still working. After she had her first child in 1970, she kept acting in movies like Amar Prem and Daag.

In an interview with ETimes, Sharmila talked about the past. She said, “All working women were looked down upon because society thought we were evil for leaving our kids and going to work. To get there, though, we have to make a lot of sacrifices and go through a lot of pain, but that is how we are judged. Men’s work was respected in some way, but not women’s. The man makes money while you work in the kitchen. That was pretty clear.

“So I always told my kids to get 10 on 10, the same way I wished them luck on their tests,” she said. I slowly showed them that I wasn’t ignoring them and that my work was more important. It makes me happy. Just so they can see that I have a job. They would ask me questions about my work. They didn’t think that when I went to work, I was leaving them and stealing from them.

Sharmila hasn’t been in a movie in 13 years, when she was in Break Ke Baad with Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan. This movie is her comeback to the movie business.
