As Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor celebrated two decades in the film industry, he took a moment to reflect on his remarkable journey and the challenges he faced along the way. During a special event organized by him and his wife, the couple invited the director and producer of his debut film, “Ishq Vishk,” which marked his entry into Bollywood in 2003.

The filmmakers shared an interesting anecdote about Shahid’s eagerness to begin his acting career. They recalled how he would visit their office every day, passionately expressing his desire to be a part of a film, saying, “Sir mujhe film karni hai, film karni hai” (Sir, I want to do a film, I want to do a film). One of them even jokingly mentioned that they intentionally delayed his debut for two and a half years just to make him wait because of his eagerness.

Despite the delay, Shahid believes that it ultimately worked out for the best. He acknowledged that even at the time of his debut, he felt he was quite young and faced the challenge of finding roles suitable for his age. Scripts and co-actors of his age were uncommon, making it a struggle to establish himself in the industry.

Expressing his gratitude for completing 20 years in the spotlight, Shahid Kapoor emphasized his preference for selecting unconventional and unpredictable projects. He shared his desire to portray diverse characters and continually push boundaries as an actor.
