Sara Ali Khan’s Thrifty Attitude: Refusing to Spend Rs 400 on Roaming in Abu Dhabi

Sara Ali Khan, the talented and popular Bollywood actress, recently made headlines for her frugal nature. Despite her fame and status as a movie star, Sara openly admitted to being “very stingy.” During a recent visit to Abu Dhabi for an award show with her co-star Vicky Kaushal for their film “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” Sara made a conscious decision not to spend Rs 400 on roaming charges. Instead, she opted to rely on the kindness of those around her for hotspot access.

In an interview with Brut India at the Abu Dhabi award show, Sara Ali Khan revealed that her producer Dinesh Vijan had advised her to activate a roaming plan. However, she chose to disregard his suggestion and sought a hotspot connection from her hairdresser instead. Sara confessed, “I’m very stingy. This time, Vicky and I had to coordinate, and I also had to coordinate with my producer Dinoo (Dinesh Vijan). He sent me a voice note in the morning, saying, ‘Roaming costs Rs 400, can you please get it?'” Sara further added that she still didn’t have a roaming plan and continued to rely on hotspots from her hairdresser.

Realizing her own behavior, Sara acknowledged, “I mean, I shouldn’t behave like this.” She then turned to someone standing nearby and asked if they had a roaming plan. The person responded affirmatively, prompting Sara to express her view that she had previously believed roaming plans were only available on a monthly basis. Since she was only in Abu Dhabi for a day, she questioned the need for such a plan. When she inquired about the cost of a roaming package, she discovered it would cost Rs 3000 for 10 days. Sara exclaimed, “Come on, Rs 3000 for one day? I might as well use hotspots. I’m here for one day, why would I need it for 10 days?” However, someone informed her that a roaming pack could be purchased for Rs 400 per day, to which Sara replied, “That’s what I was told.”

In other news, “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” starring Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal, was released in theaters on June 2, 2023.
