Rhea Chakraborty Breaks Her Silence as NCB Decides Not to Challenge Bail
Big news regarding the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case! The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has recently informed the Supreme Court that it won’t oppose Rhea Chakraborty’s bail. Let me refresh your memory: Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty were an item, living together and deeply in love. Sadly, on June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput tragically took his own life soon after Rhea had moved out. Following his untimely demise, Rhea faced a relentless storm of accusations and animosity.
The NCB had slapped Rhea with the severe Section 27-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, which deals with “supporting and harboring illegal drug trafficking.” But later on, she managed to secure bail. On Tuesday, the NCB declared to the Supreme Court that it won’t contest Rhea Chakraborty’s bail in connection with the drug case linked to the late actor’s death. The Additional Solicitor General S V Raju stressed that although they won’t challenge her bail, the legal implications of Section 27-A of the NDPS Act should remain open for discussion.
In response to this development, Rhea took to social media and shared a short clip of herself glowing with radiance, captioned simply with “Gratitude” and a folded hands emoji. The post went viral in no time, with people interpreting it as a sign of her thankfulness for the NCB’s recent decision.
On the work front, Rhea Chakraborty has made a comeback to television as one of the gang leaders on Roadies 19: Karm Ya Kaand. She’s actively involved in the show alongside co-gang leaders Gautam Gulati and Prince Narula, while the popular Bollywood actor Sonu Sood plays the role of the host.
The NCB’s stance and Rhea’s response on social media have caught the attention of followers and the media, fueling the ongoing scrutiny and interest surrounding the aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput’s heart-wrenching demise.
