R Madhavan talks about playing a lot of roles in Rocketry.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, R Madhavan’s long-awaited biopic about Nambi Narayanan, is now playing in theatres. In a recent interview, the actor talked about how he was involved in different parts of the movie. When asked, he said, “You’ve not only been in the movie, but you’ve also written it, directed it, and made it.” What about it made you so interested? “
The actor and director replied, “Let me tell you how it all started.” When I was an actor and people told me that the same person was acting, directing, writing the script, and writing the lyrics for this movie, I used to laugh because I thought that was the end of that movie. “
“There is no way that anyone in the world today can take care of all those departments that require high levels of skill and that have never been done before and still make a good movie.” But when it came to this, I didn’t have a choice. I didn’t think it was practical, logical, or even smart to do this. “
“Someone told me about Nambi Narayanan’s story. They said that a good-looking ISRO scientist had an affair with a Maldivian woman, and because of that, he gave Pakistan information about Indian rocketry. He was arrested, tortured, and almost killed. Then he came out and proved that he was innocent. “
