Priyanka Chopra and Samantha Ruth Prabhu Set to Portray a Mother-Daughter Duo in ‘Citadel’
Priyanka Chopra and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are set to share the screen as a mother-daughter duo in the Indian adaptation of Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel. While Samantha’s role remains undisclosed, hints from Citadel have suggested that she will be portraying Priyanka’s character’s mother in this thrilling spy series set against the backdrop of the 80s and 90s era.
Although there has been no official confirmation regarding Samantha’s role, the talented actress will join the cast in a significant capacity. Priyanka Chopra previously revealed that the Indian version of Citadel is not a mere remake but has a connection to its American counterpart.
In an interesting twist, Priyanka’s Citadel featured Varun Dhawan in the fifth episode, where a scene showcased a phone conversation between Priyanka and her on-screen father, played by Rahi Gambhir, with Varun’s voice heard in the background.
Currently, Citadel India is in the midst of its shooting stage, with Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. The show is being directed by Raj and DK, promising an exciting and captivating viewing experience for audiences.
