On Tuesday, renowned Indian actor Farhan Akhtar sent a lengthy letter of appreciation to the cast and crew of Ms. Marvel, including Pakistani director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, for her “leadership.”
Akhtar, whose part in Ms. Marvel has yet to be disclosed, began his tweet by thanking the writers, directors, and all those in front of and behind the camera who worked together to make the film what it is.
The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara went on to thank Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, saying, “I would like to thank Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy for her help while I was working on it.”
He then went on to express his admiration for Marvel itself by saying, “In appreciation of Marvel.” I am honoured to be a part of their inclusivity. “
“This event is a celebration of diversity, and it will undoubtedly bring happiness and pride of identity to millions of young girls and boys from the subcontinent.”
Akhtar concluded his message by adding, “And last but not least, I would want to recognise Iman Vellani’s extraordinary skill.” Prepare to be tremendously amused and easily captivated by her. Thank you and best of success, Ms. Marvel team! “
He also revealed the launch date: “The first episode of Ms. Marvel will air on Disney+ Hotstar tomorrow, June 8.”
