Humayun Saeed Defines His Role in “The Crown”

Humayun Saeed is one of Pakistan’s top celebrities. He is also the top producer in the field. In Pakistan, Humayun Saeed has worked on a variety of projects, and his most recent movie, London Nahi Jaunga, became a major hit both at home and abroad. However, he has spent the majority of his career living in Pakistan. Humayun Saeed is now branching out and making his Hollywood debut with The Crown.
Humayun Saeed, who will play Dr. Hasnat Khan, the late Lady Diana’s ex-boyfriend, in the series, has now been given his first look. Even though Humayun has a history of playing heroic characters, this is the first time he is portraying an actual person on television.
In an interview with Maliha Rehman, Humayun Saeed finally opened up about what it was like to have a role in such a well-liked series. Humayun asserted that he was well acquainted with Hamid Hussain and that he had previously spoken with him about casting Nargis Fakhri in his own film. Hamid Hussain also represents Nargis Fakhri. Then Hamid called him to see if he would be willing to submit a tape for an audition for a role. “He sent the audition,” claims Humayun. He later signed an NDA after finding out that it was for The Crown.
He said. Hamid Hussain, who is now my talent agent, made the first contact. He once represented Bollywood diva Nargis Fakhri, and I previously contacted him to cast Nargis in my movie. Since then, we have remained in touch. He called me one evening and said he had an extremely significant international project in mind for me, but I would need to submit an audition in order to be considered. I just vaguely recall going through the audition process for my first few jobs at the beginning of my career, but I accepted it because I knew it was standard in the West.
He went on to say,
“After that, I signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which prohibited me from discussing the part with anyone. I was delighted to learn that it was for The Crown. I was aware of The Crown’s fame because I had seen it. The idea that I could get a chance to appear in the series was intriguing. After sending my audition, the director and Elizabeth Debicki, who will be playing Princess Diana in the upcoming season, requested that I participate in an online reading. A lot had happened so quickly up to this point. I didn’t hear from Hamid again after my reading with Elizabeth, though. I accepted the idea that the position had been filled by someone else. On the tenth day, though, I received a call from Hamid, who simply stated, “Congratulations!” Before my first day on set, I spent a week alone in London.
In addition, Humayun revealed that he took a week-long course to learn more about Dr. Hasnat’s character because so little is known about him and he is a very secretive individual.
