Gadar 2 Buzz: Fans Clamor for More Moments with Tara Singh & Sakeena, Says Ameesha Patel
Well, folks, Ameesha Patel is riding high on the wave of success from her latest blockbuster, “Gadar 2”. Teaming up with stars like Sunny Deol and Utkarsh Sharma, this film has already raked in a whopping Rs 200 crore since its release on August 11, 2023. Talk about a hit!
Now, if you remember, this film is a sequel to the 2001 smash-hit, “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha”, where our hero Tara Singh goes on a wild journey to Pakistan, all to save his son. Directed by Anil Sharma and brilliantly penned by Shaktimaan Talwar, it’s no wonder the movie’s got everyone talking and cheering.
But here’s the twist. Even with the massive love pouring in, Ameesha noted something interesting: fans wanted even more of Tara Singh and Sakeena lighting up the screen.

She spilled the beans in a recent chat, saying, “’Gadar 2′ has truly taken the nation by storm. People were just itching to see Tara and Sakeena back in action. They wanted more of them, maybe even a longer rendition of ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Leke’, and perhaps a sooner appearance of Tara’s scene before the break. But, all in all, they were over the moon with the film. Most felt that Sakeena’s charm, grace, and her electric chemistry with Tara, paired with Sunny’s knock-your-socks-off action, were the real deal breakers!”
Now, when Ameesha was probed about any other of her movies getting the franchise treatment, she quipped, “Well, bringing back the original casts of ‘Humraaz’, ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’, and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’? Now that would be a treat! Or imagine mixing ‘Race 3’ and ‘Race 2’. A ‘Race 4’ with the OG stars plus a sprinkle of Salman Khan? That’s a recipe for some movie magic!” And she added, with a cheeky grin, “I’ve got a goldmine of films that could be turned into franchises.” As for sequels? “Well,” she said with a shrug, “that ball’s in the court of the producers and directors. Their call!”
