Louis Vuitton announced who their new brand ambassador is, and it’s none other than Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood star.
In a press release, the French luxury brand said, “After a strong collaboration with the Maison, the award-winning actress begins an exciting new chapter of her journey with Louis Vuitton.”
In the brand’s campaign, the Gehraiyaan actor was shown along with American actor Emma Stone and Chinese actor Zhou Dongyu.
The 36-year-old star said of her relationship with the brand, “When you’re 18 and just starting to make money, you don’t even bother looking into a Louis Vuitton store because you know you’ll never be able to afford it.”
“Some things are aspirational, and others are just out of your reach. This is what I have to do with Louis Vuitton,” Deepika said.
The actor went on, “In real life, I’m a very practical and realistic person, but I keep having to pinch myself because I can’t believe this is happening. And it shows the kind of variety I hope to see more of in the future.
