Prior to Prabhas’ episode, the Delhi High Court protects “Unstoppable.”

Arha Media and Broadcasting, which operates the Telugu OTT platform aha, secured a blanket order barring all websites and broadcasters from showing Nandamuri Balakrishna’s discussion show ‘Unstoppable’

The business filed a ‘John Doe’ petition in the Delhi High Court to stop the unauthorised and unlicensed distribution of a chat show episode featuring Prabhas.

Promos for the episode show Prabhas is talking about his “Adi Purush” Sita, Kriti Sanon. The show has piqued viewers’ interest because it follows rumours that the two are romantically linked.

The corporation expects a large audience for the programme, which would result in financial gain. It’s spent Rs 17 crore on the chat show’s production, advertising, and marketing.

Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva banned rogue websites and the “world at large” from infringing on the discussion show’s future episodes and seasons. In his decision, the judge said that unlicensed broadcasting would hurt both the financial interests of the company and the value of the talk show.

“Piracy of films, web shows, and entertainment content has always been a significant menace,” said lawyer Ameet Naik. In the instance of ‘Unstoppable,’ “infringing connections made the show and its episodes available before the OTT distribution.” He praised the High Court’s order.

‘Unstoppable’ premiered on November 4, 2021, and ended in February 2022. Season 2 of AHA premiered in October after Season 1’s success.

According to the law firm, this ‘John Doe’ injunction is a first for an OTT platform’s unique content. Significantly, it prohibits infringers and the “world at large” from telecasting, hosting, or distributing the web content for both seasons of “Unstoppable.” It also sets a precedent for all future works that emanate from the web talk show, including future episodes, seasons, and metaverse exploitation of the show in future modes, the law firm said.
