Abrarul Haq was ousted as chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.

Abrarul Haq, a musician and PTI activist, was removed from his position as chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

In this regard, the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation, and Coordination has issued a notice. President Arif Alvi has appointed Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari for a three-year term as the new head of PRCS.

In November of 2019, the singer of Nach Majajan was appointed to lead PRCS.

Later, Saeed Elahi, who had been in charge before Abrarul Haq, went to the Islamabad High Court (LHC) to challenge his appointment.

The court had overruled the decrees regarding appointments.
