Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, a renowned Academy Award winner, and Pakistani director has once again won hearts with her unwavering support for victims of domestic violence.

In an effort to encourage people who have endured domestic abuse and to set an example for those who support women’s liberation, the Ms. Marvel director recently disclosed her bold decision.

The Song of Lahore filmmaker has received several honors from all across the world, including the renowned Lux Style Award in 2012. Feroze Khan, a star of Lollywood, has been nominated, and the 44-year-old director has now vowed to return the favor. After his ex-wife, Aliza Sultan accused him of domestic abuse, Khan is the subject of public scrutiny and is being shunned by his business associates.


In response to Khan’s nomination in the main lead actor category, Chinoy withdrew her 2012 LSA award, making it clear that she would not be silent if “a domestic abuser” were to win the most recent awards. The 3 Bahadur director subsequently announced her choice on Instagram.
