Vedha: Release date for Shiva Rajkumar’s period action drama announced; Find Out
The premiere date for Shiva Rajkumar’s next drama, Vedha, has been announced. The project will be released in theatres on December 23rd this year. The actor stated on Twitter, “The gory chapter of the hunter…#VEDHA launches on December 23rd, 2022.” Made under the direction of A. Harsha, the movie marks the actor’s fourth venture with the filmmaker, following Bhajarangi, Vajrakaya, and Bhajarangi 2.
The makers recently presented the first look poster of Vedha, showcasing Shiva Rajkumar in a salt-and-pepper style. His face is smeared with blood. The first look was published on social media along with the description, “Head to the gory chapter of War Hunter. “The Hunt starts this Christmas.”
The directors also published a motion poster of the film on Instagram and captioned the photo, “Witness the first motion poster of the terrible 1960s Vedha.” The roughly 3-minute movie introduced us to Vedha’s slogan for the drama, “The Brutal 1960s.” Vedha was introduced in March last year and launched on the floors in December of the same year.
Ganavi Laxman has been brought in as the leading lady of the film alongside Shiva Rajkumar. In addition to them, Swetha Changappa and Umashree will also be seen in significant parts in the play. Touted to be a period-action picture, it is purportedly set against the backdrop of a rural village. Backed by Zee Studios and Geetha Pictures, Vedha marks the first movie for Shiva Rajkumar as a producer.
Shiva Rajkumar will also play a big part in Jailer, a movie starring superstar Rajinikanth. Nelson Dilipkumar will be in charge of the movie’s direction.
