The FBR put a hold on Meesha Shafi’s bank accounts.

Meesha Shafi is a well-known singer and actress. Her bank accounts have been frozen by the Federal Board of Revenue.
Local media say that FBR froze Shafi’s accounts at the Faisal Bank branch in Lahore’s DHA Z Block because the singer didn’t list the house she bought in DHA in 2015 as one of her assets.
It was found that the singer, who was registered with FBR as Meera Parvez Shafi, owed almost Rs 2.1 million in income tax to FBR.
The FBR, on the other hand, kept an eye on her property and made her pay taxes on it. Misha Shafi’s bank accounts have already given FBR $0.3 million and $28,000. “Accounts were closed on the orders of Commissioner of Inland Revenue Jibran Masroor,” a news source said, citing its sources.
The retrieval team was made up of Inspector Saqib Khokhar, Mohammad Farooq, and SA Two Commissioner Arshad Ali Sheikh.
Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi’s legal dispute took a different turn when Zafar’s lawyers asked for a government-level medical board to look into the couple’s health.
Shafi has spinal problems that are being looked into, according to the singer’s lawyer. The neurosurgeon has told Misha to take a two- to three-week break from work. Ali Zafar’s lawyers said no to Meesha Shafi’s request for a leave of absence and said that if Meesha really had a problem, a formal board should be set up.
