Last night, at a showing of The Legend of Maula Jatt in Universal Cinemas in Lahore, the film’s stars, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Faris Shafi, dazzled the audience, together with the film’s director, Bilal Lashari, and producer Ammara Hikmat.
On October 13th, The Legend of Maula Jatt was released in theaters around the world. The film is an update of the 1979 classic Maula Jatt. A global audience can now learn about Punjab’s very own superhero. In it, you’ll see Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Humaima Mallick, Faris Shafi, and Ali Azmat, to name a few.
The report states that the film’s opening weekend earnings were Rs 509 million (about US$2.3 million).
In the United Arab Emirates, it is number one, whereas in Canada it is number six, Australia is number eight, and the United Kingdom is number nine. The film grossed Rs. 113 million (US$526,902) in India, despite the fact that it was not released in every theater in the country.
