As Thalapathy Vijay gears up to celebrate his 48th birthday on June 22, his fans have already started the festivities and taken the internet by storm. In a remarkable feat, the actor has achieved yet another milestone by appearing on the prestigious Times Square Billboard in New York City. He now joins the elite group of Tamil celebrities who have graced this iconic spot.
Ahead of his birthday, Thalapathy Vijay’s fans organized a special surprise by playing a video featuring stills of the actor on the Times Square Billboard. This makes him the third Tamil celebrity to be featured on the billboard, following the footsteps of Dhanush and R Madhavan. It’s worth noting that even the legendary musician Ilayaraja has been showcased on the Times Square Billboard.
To add to the birthday excitement, Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film “Leo” has released the promo video for its first single, titled “Na Ready.” Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the upbeat and energetic song is sung by Vijay himself. Fans can expect another thumping dance number from the blockbuster duo. The full song will be released on Thursday, much to the delight of Vijay’s ardent followers.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, “Leo” is part of the director’s cinematic universe and marks the second collaboration between him and Thalapathy Vijay after the mega-hit film “Master.” In “Leo,” Vijay portrays the character of a gangster in his 40s who resides in Kashmir and runs a chocolate factory, seeking an escape from the world of gang wars.
The film boasts a stellar star cast, including Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, and others in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film. “Leo” is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 19, 2023, and is expected to be released in dubbed versions in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages as well.
