Maria B tells people on the Internet about the Transgender Act.

Maria B is in Pakistan to teach about the Transgender Act to “the illiterate and purposely stupid.”

The transgender bill that was passed a few months ago was met with protests and calls for changes. Maria B has talked about the difference between people who are “transgender” and those who are “intersex.” The top fashion designer was told she sounded stupid, but that didn’t make her feel bad.

The goal of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018, is to give transgender people the same rights and legal recognition as other people. People who are transgender in Pakistan can choose their gender identity and change it on government documents.

On his show Super Over, Ahmed Ali Butt asked Maria B to tell the difference between men and women.

The fashion designer said, “There is a group of transgender people in Pakistan called Khwajasara.” A recent intersex act was stolen by people who act like they are intersex. The bill is about something else besides intersex rights.

Maria said, “There is an important issue that needs to be talked about.” In Pakistan, there is a group of people who are both male and female. They are called the Khwajasara community. A law for the intersex community was just passed, but it was taken over by people who say they are intersex but are not. The bill doesn’t really help the intersex community, but it does support a secret goal.

Maria went on to say, “We are working with Jamat-e-Islamic Senator Mushtaq to give intersex people their rights as soon as possible.”

Maria finished her speech by saying, “Transgender people are people who were born as girls or boys but thought they had features of the opposite gender.” This made them say they were the gender they wanted to be instead of the one they were given at birth.

People who are transgender don’t feel like they are their birth sex. People who are transgender often change their names and pronouns to help them feel better.

Intersex people are born with chromosome patterns, gonads, or genital structures that “do not fit typical binary ideas of male or female bodies.”
