Tabu discloses Drishyam 2 is ‘one of her most difficult characters’ Here’s the reason why.
The highly-anticipated trailer for Drishyam 2. is finally released! It stars Ajay Devgn Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor among others. Drishyam is the sequel to Nishikant Kamat’s successful thriller from the year 2017. It is also remake of the Malayalam movie of the same name, starring Mohanlal. Its Hindi remake is directed by Abhishek Pathak, and is scheduled to release in theaters on the 18th of November 2022. It was earlier directed by National-Award-winning director Nishikant Kamat, who passed away in 2020 at the age of 50.
Tabu discusses her part in Drishyam 2
Today, at the launch for Drishyam 2, Tabu who plays the character in the role of IG for Goa Meera M. Deshmukh discussed her character. She said: “It’s one of my most difficult characters. I’m very proud of creating this character. It’s not common for writers to create such an intricate character.” Drishyam 2 is funded by Viacom18 Studios, Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Panorama Studios. It was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Krishan Kumar and co-produced by Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey and Shiv Chanana.
Ajay Devgn gives glimpses of Drishyam
In the past, Ajaytook a tour down memory lane and showed his fans glimpses of the first half of Drishyam. “Kuch purane bills haath lage aaj (got my hands on some old bills today),” said the caption. The photos showed bills from restaurants and a CD featuring an aha satang from Swami Chinmayanandaji and the bus ticket. In June the actor declared the date of release for Drishyam 2 and said: “Attention. Drishyam 2 will be released in cinemas on November 18, 2022.”
Tabu’s front line of work
In the meantime, on the scene, Tabu will reunite with Ajay again in Bholaa. Then, she’ll be a part of next in Kuttey which features Naseeruddin Shah Konkona Sen Sharma Arjun Kapoor as well as Radhika Madan. The actress is also in an upcoming Netflix film about a spy thriller, Khufiya featuring Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi.
