After hours of questioning by police, Indian actress Rakhi Sawant was let go for humanitarian reasons.
Before the afternoon of January 19, Mumbai police arrested Rakhi Sawant at the Amboli police station.
Earlier, Rakhi Sawant was also taken into custody in November of last year. This was because Sherlyn Chopra had filed a complaint against her under several parts of the Cyber Crime Act.
The actress was charged with defamation because she was said to have shown naked pictures and videos of Sherlyn Chopra at press conferences and used bad language. Chopra filed a complaint against Rakhi in November 2022, but she wasn’t arrested until January 19, after which she was let go.
Rakhi Sawant was questioned for several hours at the police station about what she said about Sherlyn Chopra, which the police say was bad. At the same time, she allegedly gave the police access to her phone and promised to fully help with the investigation, according to the police.
The bail papers were shown to the police, and Rakhi Sawant was let go because it was the right thing to do, even before she was brought before the court.
