Sandal Khattak Granted Bail in Hareem Shah Video Leaks Case
Islamabad – Sandal Khattak, a popular TikToker, has been granted bail in the case related to leaked videos of her former friend and fellow TikToker, Hareem Shah. The decision was made by the Special Judge Central Islamabad after considering the arguments presented during Khattak’s plea for post-arrest bail.
During the hearing, Khattak’s lawyer stated that his client had not received any prior notice before two cases were registered against her, one in Lahore and another in Peshawar, based on FIRs filed by Hareem Shah. The lawyer emphasized that Khattak had been live streaming and had not uploaded any pre-recorded videos on social media platforms. He also pointed out that no incriminating evidence was found on Khattak’s mobile phone and highlighted that TikTok’s policies prohibit the uploading of explicit content.
The defense argued that the videos were filmed with Hareem Shah’s consent, as she appeared to be laughing in them. Additionally, it was pointed out that while Khattak’s phone was confiscated, Shah’s cellphone was not secured.
Considering these arguments, the judge granted bail to Sandal Khattak, who had been recently arrested after her initial bail plea was rejected. The decision was based on the lack of evidence against her and the absence of a need for further interrogation.
The case revolves around the alleged recording of videos by Sandal Khattak featuring Hareem Shah, which were later leaked. The court proceedings shed light on the conflicting claims and provide an opportunity for both parties to present their arguments and evidence.
