Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala shares exciting news for Salman Khan fans!
Sajid Nadiadwala has recently provided an update on the highly anticipated sequel to his directorial debut, Kick. According to the filmmaker, Salman Khan has already read the script for the film, which is now complete. However, they are currently waiting for the right moment to release this action-packed movie.
When Sajid made his directorial debut with Kick in 2014, audiences were treated to an enthralling Salman Khan entertainer that also introduced remarkable performances by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda. Nawazuddin portrayed the antagonist, while Randeep played a cop. Kick, which also featured Jacqueline Fernandez, went on to earn a massive box office collection of Rs. 200 crore.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the Kick franchise, Sajid stated that it is his “favorite intellectual property” and that whenever he discusses the sequel, he receives a tremendous response from both the audience and the film industry. He assured fans that Kick will definitely have a sequel, and although the script is ready, they are waiting for the right time and scale to bring it to life.
Sajid emphasized the importance of reviving cinema consumption in order to present Kick 2 in its full glory. He mentioned that once the audience’s excitement returns and normalcy is restored, he will be ready to begin filming Kick 2. Salman Khan has already given his nod to the project, and now it’s all about waiting for the right moment to design the sequel accordingly.
Salman Khan was last seen in the film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, where he shared the screen with a stellar ensemble cast. The movie marked the Bollywood debut of Shehnaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari, and also featured appearances by Ram Charan and Abdu Rozik in cameo roles.
