“Rainbow” marks Rashmika Mandanna’s debut as a producer, shooting starts April 7th

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who has established herself as one of the most popular actresses in South and Bollywood, has announced her first female-centric film titled “Rainbow.” The movie, which will be directed by debutant director Shantharuban, will be released in Telugu and Tamil. The film’s launch ceremony reportedly took place in Hyderabad today, with a formal puja attended by the cast and crew. Dream Warrior Pictures is bankrolling the movie.
According to reports, “Rainbow” is a romantic fantasy drama, and Dev Mohan, who gained fame with the movie “Shaakuntalam,” will be playing a pivotal role alongside Rashmika. KM Bhaskaran has been roped in for cinematography, while Justin Prabhakaran will score the music. The regular shoot of the film is expected to begin from April 7.
Speaking about the movie, Rashmika said, “This is the first time I star in a film where the story is shot from a girl’s perspective. I am excited to bring this character to life. The film is entertaining and exciting. The film will be a crazy ride, so buckle up.”
Apart from “Rainbow,” Rashmika has several other exciting projects in the pipeline. She will be reprising her popular character Srivalli in the sequel of “Pushpa: The Rule,” along with Allu Arjun. Directed by Sukumar, the film will also feature Fahadh Faasil, and the first glimpse of the sequel will be out on Allu Arjun’s birthday, April 8.
Rashmika has also announced a new film with Nithiin and director Venky Kudumula, tentatively titled “VNRTrio,” which will mark her second collaboration with the duo after the blockbuster film “Bheeshma.” The music will be composed by GV Prakash. With such exciting projects in her kitty, Rashmika’s fans have a lot to look forward to.
