The pleasant Vishwak Sen-starring remake’s dreams and sensibilities

Vishwak Sen plays Ashok Selvan in the Telugu adaptation of “Oh My Kadavule,” which also includes Mithila Palkar as Ritika Singh, Venkatesh as Vijay Sethupathi, and Asha Bhat as Vani Bhojan. When the Tamil version was launched, love stories were no longer popular in Kollywood. Philosophical issues, challenges, and Catch-22s are fueled by romantic desire.

A year ago, Arjun wed Anu. They believe their union is doomed. petition for divorce. The plot becomes murky when Arjun meets a mystery individual (Victory Venkatesh as God). God favours him in the interim. He can now decide not to wed Anu and watch what transpires. Will Arjun’s life experience a miracle? Can it get worse?

After being married, Arjun loses his significance. The windy therapy makes his emotional downfall less severe. The straightforward storytelling makes even the sluggish sections interesting. Tharun Bhaskcer’s dialogue is easy to understand, and the small but important changes don’t look like they were made by accident.

Childhood love isn’t glossed over in the movie. The story is accurately told. The brief segments regarding latrine quality checks in Arjun’s work aren’t just “toilet humour” dressed up.

Fantasy doesn’t make headlines. That would have required a lot of creative effort; instead, “Ori Devuda” stays true to its emotional core and amplifies the fun by playing to its strengths.

After all, unlike Sethupathi, the “F2” actor is known for comedy hero roles.

Vishwak is special. He did everything well. More so than Asha, Mithila maintains our interest without going overboard. Childhood friend Venkatesh Kakumanu, of the main pair, is healthy. Murali Sharma is excellent, although Rahul Ramakrishna is miscast.

Together with Leon James, Anirudh Ravichander sings “Gundellona” with enthusiasm. An improvised rain song. Vidhu Ayyanna has good aim.

The remake is fun to watch, but if it had been made again, it should have told a more interesting and satisfying story.
