Finally available is the trailer for Connect: A Horror Thriller, starring Nayanthara.

The long-awaited official Connect trailer has now been released. The star in this upcoming horror film is Nayanthara.

Today at 12 AM, the trailer was uploaded to Rowdy Pictures’ official YouTube channel (December 9, Friday). On December 22 of this year, Ashwin Saravanan’s much-awaited movie is scheduled for release. It’s interesting to note that Connect will open in theatres without an intermission, making Tamil film history.

The interesting official Connect trailer depicts the happy life of a nuclear family made up of a couple, Nayanthara and Vinay Rai, who play a couple and an old father with a teenage daughter. Their allegedly “normal” lives are flipped upside down once the lockdown begins, as their daughter’s behaviour drastically changes.

In the trailer, the Nayanthara-played character Susan is seen attempting to identify the cause of the persistent interruption that occurs during her work calls, which leads her to reveal something about her daughter. Later, with the help of her father and an exorcist, Susan is seen attempting to control the situation and save her daughter while her husband, a doctor, is away from the house working for Covid.

The excellent imagery of Manikantan Krishnamachary and the captivating background music of Prithvi Chandrasekhar make the Connect video an engaging experience. The teaser makes it very evident that the much-awaited movie will transform how Tamil cinema tackles horror films.

Veteran actor Sathyaraj portrays Susan’s father in the Ashwin Saravanan-helmed movie. In the much-anticipated film, famous Bollywood performer Anupam Kher will make his Tamil cinema debut as an exorcist. Haniya Nafisa plays Susan’s teenage daughter in the movie. The eagerly anticipated project is being funded by Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara’s husband and a well-known filmmaker, through his own label, Rowdy Pictures.
