Manoj Bajpayee asserts that before seeing Hrithik Roshan, he was a trained dancer who gave up.

Manoj Bajpayee has admitted that he is a skilled dancer who abandoned his ambition after watching Hrithik Roshan perform. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Hrithik’s first film, was produced in 2000, while Satya, Manoj’s breakthrough film, debuted in 1998. Manoj thought back to his days in the theater, when he used to claim that singing and dancing were necessities for performers. He talked about his youth and how he used to perform.

Since I originate from the theatre, the ability to sing used to be a requirement for an artist. Even if you don’t make it to the front, you must sing in the choir. He acknowledged, “Yeah, I used to perform as well,” during a chat session with Curly Tales.

“Hrithik got training in main chhau dance, na,” he declared. Despite my training in Chhau dance, I told myself as I watched Hrithik perform after he started his career in the field, “This is the end of my dream of dancing since I can’t master this.” Maine kaha aaj ke baad dancing ka khwaab band kyuki ab ye nahi seekh sakta main, Maine Hrithik ko dekha toh.

Manoj insisted that he had already executed all the required dance steps prior to Hrithik’s debut when he was reminded of his dancing in Satya’s well-known song Sapne Me Milti Hai.

The forthcoming movie Gulmohar, directed by Rahul V. Chittella, has Manoj preparing for his debut. The focus of the film is a multigenerational family by the name of the Batras, who have to deal with anxiety when they must vacate their 34-year-old family house.

Simran, Kaveri Seth, Suraj Sharma, and Amol Palekar are also featured in the upcoming film Gulmohar, which will be released on March 3. Disney+ Hotstar will offer Gulmohar digitally, a Star Studios film in association with Chalkboard Entertainment and Autonomous Works. Manoj recently remarked about Gulmohar to PTI, “The movie has something to give everyone.” “The outcome will be choking and laughing.”
