Whether she is acting, singing, or modelling, actress Ayesha Omar is one of the best in Lollywood.
After an unofficial break of almost eight years, the 41-year-old diva, whose enchanting voice got her into the music business, is giving her fans a gift again.
The famous actress from the movie Bulbulay said recently that her new song, “Har Koi Yaar Nahi,” would be out soon. The song is about the beautiful Gilgit Mountains and cold lakes in Baltistan.
The song is a declaration of self-love that helps people connect with nature, with themselves, and with their Creator.
“When I was planning my October birthday trip to Gilgit-Baltistan, my favourite region in Pakistan, I realised I should document that trip in some way,” the Habs diva wrote in a long, heartfelt Instagram message to her friends and followers. I thought about making a vlog because I wanted to show the world how beautiful my favourite country is. One night, I did write a song and make a music video there. Gilgit is the best place. Lenny Massey has been trying to get me to sing again for years. I called him and told him what I was going to do. He said, “Let’s do it!” when he agreed. I talked him into going to the mountains with me, and he said yes.
“With the help of Zaheer bhai, I decided to write about my own journey and my relationship with my Creator. I added a Sufi touch, which was inspired by the great poet Baba Bulleh Shah, because I wanted this song to be special. In fact, the title comes from a line in one of his poems that I like a lot. It is also written on a tray in my house. Lenny put me in touch with Alex Shabaz, and I told him about my idea and thoughts. He joined the team right away, too. I then talked about the idea with Afnan Karim, a director and photographer whom I had met a year before in Hunza.
He was also sold. Before I went to Gilgit-Baltistan for HUNZA, I had 10 days to write and record the song.
Omar thanked her staff and said, “And we did it, thanks to my great team!! I threw together some jackets and boots for the video and spent two days filming it in different places. We’d get up early, get ready quickly on our own (while my friends fell asleep after a night of drinking), drive to the sites, hike up for hours carrying clothes, water, and snacks, and take pictures while music played in the background but was hard to hear. My Hunza boys, on the other hand, are THE BEST.kind and patient to a fault! Now, they’re a family. And what an incredible video they made! Maza aa gaya, Fahyeem bhai.Uffffffff.”
“Har Koi Yaar Nahin” is a song that comes from the deepest part of me. She said, “I hope you all fall in love with the song, with God, with your country, and most of all, with yourself.”
Ayesha Omar says that the song “comes from the core, showing the beautiful beauty of the land that was created, imagined, and made real,” and that it is “very close to her heart and soul.”
Even though the actress has won praise for her singing and music, social media users had mixed reactions to the song’s release.
