Amitabh Bachchan says that the idea of freedom of speech in the film industry is still being looked at. The actor talked about censorship and freedom of speech at the opening ceremony of the Kolkata International Film Festival 2022 on Thursday night.
Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, and a number of big names from Bollywood, like Amitabh, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji, were at the official opening of the prestigious film festival. Parts of Shah Rukh’s speech, which he also gave at the event, were put online by fan clubs of the actor.
