Ranveer Singh Rumored to Join the Cast of ‘Don’

Ranveer Singh’s Potential Role in ‘Don’ Franchise Sparks Speculation

According to recent reports, there is a strong possibility that acclaimed actor Ranveer Singh may join the highly-anticipated ‘Don’ franchise, helmed by director Farhan Akhtar. While an official announcement has yet to be made, it is believed that Singh’s involvement in the project hinges on the success of his upcoming romantic comedy, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

Previously headlined by legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, it appears that Khan has chosen not to reprise his role in the film series this time around, instead focusing on commercial projects with broader appeal.

The exact timing of the ‘Don’ franchise announcement remains unknown, but if Singh’s forthcoming film performs well at the box office, it is speculated that the project may be unveiled as early as August of this year.

Originally introduced with Amitabh Bachchan in 1978, the ‘Don’ franchise was later rebooted by Farhan Akhtar, with Shah Rukh Khan taking on the lead role in 2006, followed by a sequel in 2011. Now, all eyes are on Ranveer Singh as he potentially steps into the iconic character previously portrayed by Khan.

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production banner, Excel Entertainment, obtained the rights to remake the 1978 film titled ‘Don’, which starred Amitabh Bachchan.
