Chiranjeevi pays tribute to the legend, saying that K Viswanath’s death leaves an irreplaceable void in Indian cinema.

On February 2, the renowned Telugu director K. Viswanath passed away at his Hyderabad home. The 92-year-old recipient of five national awards On social media, a large number of South Indian movie stars expressed respect to the renowned Telugu director, who is known for classic movies like Swathi Muthyam, Sagara Sangamam, and Sankarabharanam, among others.
Megastar Chiranjeevi wrote a touching letter in honour of K. Chiranjeevi always referred to K. Vishwanat as his mentor and visited the senior filmmaker’s home every Diwali to ask for his blessings. For the uninitiated, Chiranjeevi played the lead in several of Viswanath’s big hits, including Subhalekha, Swayamkrushi, and Aapadbandhavudu.
The late director leaves behind his wife Kasinadhuni Jaya Lakshmi, three sons—Ravindranath, Nagendranath, and Padmavathi—and a daughter.
“Baahubali” fame K. Viswanath received a tearful farewell message from Anushka Shetty on Instagram. She penned, “Peace be upon you, Vishwanath Garu.” “I appreciate everything.”
Mammootty expressed his sympathies in the following post: “Saddened deeply by the passing of Sri K. Viswanath Garu. had the honour of following his directions in Swathikiranam.” “My sympathies and thoughts are with his loved ones.”

K. Vishwanath, an Andhra Pradesh native, started working as an assistant director in the Tamil film business in 1951. In 1965, he made his feature film debut as a director with the well-received Aathma Gouravam. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Kanchana, and Rajasree played the three main characters in the movie. The director of more than 50 feature films has won five national awards.
