Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya, two movies starring Varun Dhawan, performed better than anticipated in 2022. The Badlapur actor is looking forward to 2023 after two blockbuster films.

Indian movies, according to Varun Dhawan, lack innovation.
On Friday, a roundtable discussion was attended by Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, Pooja Hegde, Anurag Kashyap, Karthik Sivakumar, Srinidhi Shetty, Dulquer Salmaan, and others.

On stage, Varun Dhawan spoke on the reasons why most regional films struggle, with the exception of a handful like KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara. Varun Dhawan also discussed the success of movie remakes at the box office.

“I detest the term “regional film,” but Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil are getting so much attention,” said Dhawan.
