Saim Sadiq is one of the directors to watch in 2023, according to the magazine Variety.
Saim posted about this amazing achievement on Instagram earlier in the afternoon. The post’s description said, “Good news from Variety today as we continue to fight to get “Joyland” released in Punjab! #releasejoyland.”
Several famous people told Saim how happy they were for him. Ali Gul Pir, an actor and singer, tweeted, “I’m watching you,” and Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy wrote, “I’m really proud of you.”
“You really deserved it, Saim,” said director Mehreen Jabbar. Ali Sethi, who is a very good singer, also left a comment on the page with a fire emoji.
The Pakistani movie Joyland, which was directed by Saim Sadiq and starred Sania Saeed, Ali Junejo, Alina Khan, and Sarwat Gillani, finally came out on November 18 after censorship problems.
The movie has only been shown in Sindh, as it is still against the law in Punjab. Saim is working hard to get his movie, which was nominated for an Oscar, shown in the province.
