Ali Zafar responds to the President of Zimbabwe’s trending tweet

Zimbabwe were restricted to 130-8 after electing to bat first, but their spinners constrained Pakistan to 129-8.

The Teefa in Trouble actor tweeted in response to Emmerson Mnangagwa’s statement: “The Pakistan squad will bounce back from here. Watch @babarazam258 and @iMRizwanPak compete in the upcoming match between Pakistan Cricket and the # WorldCup2022 # T20WorldCup teams.

What a triumph for Zimbabwe!, the Zimbabwean president tweeted, making fun of the Pakistani team. Chevrons, congratulations. Send the real Mr. Bean next time—# PakvsZim

It all began when Pakistani comic Mohammad Asif, dubbed the “Pakistani Mr. Bean” because of his uncanny likeness to the British comedian Rowan Atkinson, showed up to an event in the African nation as the real one. The rumour that he was posing as Atkinson was sparked by this. At first, the people thought he was the real deal, but they subsequently realised they had been tricked.
