Hrithik Roshan is at peace with his failures as he bids farewell to Vedha: It’s been a wonderful journey

Hrithik Rose, last seen in Vikram Vedha, has written a touching note as he said goodbye to Vedha, the film’s lead actress. It’s a remake of the Tamil film with the same name, which starred R Madhavan & Vijay Sethupathi in 2017. Pushkar-Gayathri also directed the original part. Vikram Vedha was written and directed by Pushkar–Gayathri. Hrithik also shared a secret pact that he makes during film shoots. He posted a video on his social media in which he is seen cutting a thread of black tied to his wrist.

He wrote, “Time to let it go. It’s not clear when exactly I began doing this. I don’t even know why. Today, I realized that I had done this secretly for every character who scared me. It’s usually a red mauli (kabir wore it) but sometimes it’s a dark thread. I don’t remember how it started. Did it have to do with kaho nua pyaar hai? Or koi miil gaya, or much later? It’s not planned. Vedha received it during dress rehearsals and he became it. It was given to Kabir at the war mahurat poja, and he made it part of himself.

He said, “I believe I do it because it physically anchors my commitment to myself before it begins.” It is a secret agreement between myself and you. It is always confusing to cut it. My shoot failed, and I tried again for vedha. Then, my dub failed, and my shoot was successful. Finally, I got the satisfactory answer to the question that I had been asking myself. “Did this give it everything I had?” “Can you do more?” This is a question that drives me, scares me, and keeps me looking for more. Vedha was a wonderful guide. Through him, I learned to be. Peace with my failures. Unafraid, unapologetic. My directors Gayatri and Pushkar, my writers, will be forever grateful for this opportunity. Thank you Vedha. I let go. With love and gratitude.”
