The Salaar teaser, released on social media on July 7, has already crossed 100 million views on YouTube, setting a significant record. It sparked speculations about a potential connection between Salaar and Prashanth Neel’s KGF universe, as fans noticed certain scenes and incidents that hinted at a possible link.

While the teaser received tremendous appreciation, there were some sections of the audience who expressed disappointment, stating that Salaar appeared to be a replication of Yash’s KGF without bringing anything new to the table. Salaar features Shruti Haasan as the female lead, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the role of Vardharaja Mannaar. Produced with a budget of Rs 250 crore, Vijay Kiragandur has backed the project under the banner of Hombale Films.
